Tips & Advice:
Sowing Indoors
Sow thinly in small pots or trays of moistened seed compost, 1cm deep and keep at 15-20°C. Do not exclude light.
Growing On / Planting Out
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings to individual pots of potting compost and keep in a warm, bright position. Once well-rooted, plant out in a sunny, sheltered spot in well-drained soil, or in a large pot (minimum 30cm diameter).
Sowing Outdoors
Alternatively sow outdoors, 1cm deep, once the soil has warmed up and all danger of frost has passed. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin as required to 20cm apart.
Aftercare
Water well, especially while establishing and during warm, dry spells. Pick regularly and pinch out flower stems to encourage more fresh leaves. Protect from slugs and snails.
