Tips & Advice:
Sowing Indoors
Sow thinly, 1cm deep in clean trays or modules of firm pre-watered compost. Place in warmth, 10-15°C and keep soil moist at all times.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly in a shallow, short, pre-watered row. Lightly cover them with a little soil. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established, then thin to 2cm apart.
Transplanting
When the seedlings have produced about four true leaves, transplant them to their cropping positions, allowing about 60cm each way between plants. Firm in, and keep well watered in dry spells
Aftercare
Water plants generously in dry weather.
Advice
Avoid planting in the same soil as other Brassicas the previous year. Cover with a protective netting or fleece to prevent attack from birds and insects. Water the plants thoroughly after planting.
