Unwins Petunia Espresso Frappe Rose Seeds

Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, but do not cover them with compost. Place in the warmth, 18-25°C and keep moist. Dry conditions will prevent the seeds germinating.

Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant individually into 8cm pots of potting compost.

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 30cm between plants. Choose a sheltered spot in full sun. Particularly suited to planting in patio pots or hanging baskets. Water well in dry weather and feed plants regularly with a liquid fertiliser.

This seed is tiny and needs handling with care to avoid crushing. For extra protection and ease of sowing it is pelleted and filled into a fine seed sower.
