When to sow
February - April
Where to sow
Sow seeds thinly in trays of moist seed compost and lightly cover with a little more compost. Keep moist and place somewhere warm, such as the kitchen windowsill. When they are big enough to handle, put into larger pots. When plants are a few centimetres tall stand outside to get used to outdoor conditions before planting out or putting on the patio in pots.
Remember
Keep them watered. Support main stem with a bamboo cane and remove side shoots.
