Tips & Advice:

Sowing Indoors

Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 15-20°C and keep moist.

Growing On

Keep seedlings in a light position but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle transplant individually to 8cm pots of potting compost

Planting Out

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out in full sun from early summer onwards. Allow 30cm between plants.

Advice

Seed can also be sown in late summer for an earlier display the following season. Keep them in a frost-free place over winter before planting out when the risk of frost has passed.
