Tips & Advice:

Sowing Indoors

Level fill a tray with seed compost firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Scatter seeds thinly covering with a thin layer of vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 20°C or cover tray with cling film and leave in a warm room.

Sowing Outdoors

Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered soil, lightly covering them with a little more soil. Keep moist until seedlings appear and water as required in dry spells.

Growing On

Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost. Alternatively, transplant individually to 8cm pots.

Planting Out

Plant in a sunny spot in well-drained, fertile soil. Allow 25cm between plants. Keep well-watered, especially during warm, dry spells.
