This is an all-female variety of cucumber, and are an F1 hybrid, producing cucumbers of high quality. This variety has been bred to be easy on the digestion, hence the name 'Burpless'!

Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module tray with seed compost firming with the base of another tray. Water well. Sow seeds individually, on edge, pushing into compost 2cm deep. Place in the warmth 20-25°C. Cover with cling film. Keep moist.
Growing On
Remove cling film as soon as shoots appear Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant into 9cm pots of potting compost. Grow on in a minimum temperature of 15°C.
Planting Outdoors
Gradually accustom young plants to conditions outdoors for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their cropping positions when risk of frost has passed. Allow 90cm between plants. Water and feed well to promote fruiting. If male flowers form (those without a swelling behind them), remove them as soon as they are noticed.
