Tips & Advice:
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in warmth 15-25°C and keep moist. Cleome seeds will not germinate well at lower temperatures.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shade from bright sun. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost.
Hardening Off/Planting Out
Indoor sowing only. Keep seedlings shaded from bright sunlight, then gradually accustom your seedlings to outdoor conditions 2-3 weeks before planting out, avoiding frosts. Plant out 45cm apart.
Aftercare
Remove dead flower heads to encourage further flowers.
