Tips & Advice:

Sowing Indoors

Sow thinly in trays of firm, pre-watered compost, lightly covering with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 15- 20°C and keep moist at all times. Allow 2-4 weeks for germination.

Growing On

When large enough to handle transplant into trays of potting compost 5cm apart, or individually into 8cm pots. Grow on at a minimum temperature of 10°C.

Hardening Off/Planting Out

Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed. Allow 30cm between plants.

Advice

Although technically a perennial, Cineraria is usually grown as an annual. Small yellow flowers may appear in late summer.
