Tips & Advice:
Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module tray with seed compost, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually, covering with 1cm of compost. (Seeds may also be sown singly in 7cm pots.) Keep moist, at 10-15°C.
Planting Out
Once established, gradually accustom the young plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out to their cropping positions, 45cm apart, during spring. Keep well watered in dry spells.
Sowing Outdoors
Sow seeds thinly in a shallow, pre-watered row. Lightly cover them with a little soil. Keep moist until seedlings are established, thinning to 10cm apart.
Transplanting
When seedlings have produced about 4 leaves, transplant them to their cropping position, leaving 45cm between plants in rows 60cm apart. Firm in and keep well watered in dry spells.
Advice
