Tips & Advice:
Sowing Indoors
Sow on the surface of pre-watered seed compost, in pots or trays, lightly pressing into the surface. Place in a propagator or bag at around 20°C in shade and allow 2 weeks for germination. Remove lid or bag and keep in cooler, brighter conditions after germination.
Growing On
Transplant when seedlings are large enough to handle. Grow on in a sheltered spot outdoors, such as a cold frame or unheated greenhouse.
Planting Out
Plant out in full sun in well-drained soil and water in well.
Advice
If germination is poor after a few weeks, keep cold (4°C) for 4 weeks and then bring back into warmth.
Aftercare
Cut back after flowering, once the foliage is dying back. Will benefit from division of established clumps every 2-3 years.
