Sowing Indoors

Remove any weeds and rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds on pre-watered soil, lightly covering them with a little more soil. Sowings made in semi-circular lines create a natural ‘drift’ effect. Keep moist until seedlings appear and as required in dry spells.

Thinning

When they are large enough to handle, thin seedlings out to 25cm between plants.

Advice

Grows well in full sun or part shade. The seeds are attractive to Goldfinches.
