Nature's Haven Common Selfheal Seeds

 

Nature's Haven Common Selfheal Seeds form a low-growing mat of leaves. This native British Isles wildflower is highly attractive to bees and is easy to grow.

 

 

 

Long-flowering, you will be rewarded with delicate purple flowers with vivid green centres for many months. Common Selfheal spreads via creeping stems and also self-seeds easily so remember to deadhead if you don't want this to spread too far.

Sowing Outdoors
Sow in trays of pre-watered seed compost and cover lightly. Keep in a cold frame or unheated greenhouse and allow up to 8 weeks for germination. Alternatively, sow directly into the final position from late April, in a sunny or partly-shaded spot in well-prepared soil and lightly cover with a little more soil.
Growing On
When large enough to handle. transplant into 8cm pots. Slowly acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after frosts.
Planting Out
Choose a sunny, or partially shaded, spot in any well-drained soil. Plant approximately 30cm apart.
